*This edition was removed as it contained an article which implied that the Tosoh G8 may have been cleared for the diagnosis of diabetes.
HbA1c results from the Tosoh G8 should be utilized by physicians in the clinical management of diabetes to assess the long-term efficacy of diabetic control. The Tosoh G8 has been cleared by the FDA for diabetes monitoring. At this time there are no HbA1c assays that are cleared by the FDA for diabetes diagnosis.
We apologize for any confusion that the information contained within this edition may have caused.
